Shadows of Doubt is set in an alternate reality with a noir theme in the hyper-industrialized 1980s, the player works as a private intelligence investigator, making money by solving cases, finding and selling information and other side jobs.

The capture of a rampant serial killer carries a hefty bounty, but who knows what secrets you’ll find along the way: Take on side jobs, spend a night drinking at the bar playing some pool, head out to the streets taking on side jobs, the world is what you make of it!

Explore anywhere in the city! Every nook of every trashy bar, every shady casino, every seedy hotel room. This dystopia is your oyster. Break into apartments, rifle through secret documents or hack security systems, even a receipt on a floor can be tracked to a restaurant, go through their cctv footage matching the time up to the receipt and find out who that receipt belonged to.

The entire world is fully simulated. Each citizen has an apartment, a job, a daily routine, favorite things to do, places to go, and people to interact with. They’ll live out their lives independently, and the world moves on with or without you— uncover this knowledge and use it to your advantage!

Shadows of Doubt offers a truly unique detective experience, players will have to think like a detective to solve the cases around them, checking citizens call histories, finding passwords and reading their private emails, speaking to victims acquaintances, watching through cctv and more, all of this information can be stored at your whim on your investigation board, link evidence together using different string colours as you string together the full picture.
